The Romance Genre: A Love Affair With Books
Love is in the air, and what better way to celebrate February – the month of love, passion, self-love, and self-care than by diving into the romance genre?
Whether you’re a hopeless romantic, an enemies-to-lovers fanatic, or someone who loves a sprinkle of magic with their love story, there’s a romance novel out there just waiting for you.
I’ve personally not read or listened to many books where romance is the main genre. However, I love it when romance is a side plot in the other genres I read (mainly fantasy and mystery). I am definitely a sucker for a good enemies-to-lovers trope in a fantasy book or a good will-they-won’t-they in a crime book series.
Now, let’s explore six popular types of romance novels and some must-read book recommendations for each! Check out these new January Book Releases!

The Unhoneymooners sounds like a good book to adapt to a movie. I enjoy those kind of reads (and movies too).
I have read some of these, and I have several on my bookshelf. Makes me want to get started on them (including Court of Thorns & Roses).
I don’t normally read romance, but I might pick up a few of the books that you suggested! It’s nice to try a different genre now and again!
I do love a romance book more so in February. I am adding some of these titled to my reading list starting with Before We Were Strangers
Romance is one of my favorite genres. It’s crazy to me that the first one was written by a guy! LOL
